How To Create An Irresistible Lead Magnet



 

So what is a Lead Magnet?

Why should I give my valuable content away for free?

Now, maybe you’ve heard the term lead magnet and wondered what it is. Maybe you’ve heard them called freebies, giveaways, value offers, or a bunch of other terms. The bottom line is that they are a crucial part of your marketing mix.

A lead magnet is something extremely worthwhile that builds value and builds trust between you and your prospect. A lot of online business owners struggle with knowing whether or not the free content that they’re giving away to their audience is too much.

There is no such thing as too much. One of my favorite quotes is from Zig Ziglar who said: 

“You can have everything in life you want. If you will just help enough other people get what they want.”

I think this quote really says it all.

When you can provide your audience with valuable content, when you can give it away to them for free, then there’s always a higher level of content or additional benefits they’ll be willing to pay for. It’s about giving away valuable content for free that helps them solve a problem or pain point that they have. In doing so, you’ll be building trust, authority, and credibility with audience, and now we’re getting to know the type of value you have to offer.

The goal is to make your lead magnet so good that your audience can’t resist signing up to get it. 

When you master lead magnets, you pretty much have superpowers to grow your business as fast as you want and this almost always has to be a middle step that involves building trust and following up your prospects until they are ready to buy, and that is where your lead magnet comes in.
